Nevada QTAC?

Nevada Quality Technical Assistance Center (QTAC) is an intermediary organization which seeks to support partners in establishing a statewide system for evidence-based self-management and lifestyle change models such as the Stanford Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) Program, and the Center for Disease Control National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). QTAC also facilitates the establishment of the infrastructure and referral systems for these programs, as well as, support the ongoing capacity by being the statewide master trainers for these programs.

QTAC’s Mission

The mission is to advance evidence-based programs for Nevada communities through structured communication, multi-level coordination and training leaders for both the Stanford Model Programs and the Diabetes Prevention Program. The QTAC supports public, private, health and community based partners to disseminate and deliver evidence-based self-management programs and lifestyle change that improve health, wellness and quality of life in communities within and beyond Nevada State. Nevada QTAC is committed to:

QTAC Services

QTAC meets the needs of partners standing-up and delivering programming by providing:

  • Workforce development and training for programs
  • Statewide fidelity monitoring and support
  • Refresher courses and practice teaching opportunities for Lay leader community
  • Technical assistance and consultation to support planning, implementation, marketing, program evaluation and data collection
  • Data management and reporting, for CDC Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPP)
  • Consultation for receiving CDC DPP accreditation
  • Consultation on evaluation design and implementation
  • Innovative partnership agreements
  • Sustainability planning including
  • Support and guidance for receiving American Association of Diabetes Educators Accreditation (AADE)
  • Support and guidance for receiving CMS Recognition for program reimbursement (Stanford Plus)
  • Holds multi-program license to support organizations in establishing and providing self-management programs (Stanford)
  • Data review services to support continuous quality improvement efforts
